Moderate Flood Warning for the lower Diamantina River

Moderate flood levels are rising in the lower Diamantina River at Birdsville
during Friday morning.

No significant rainfall is expected across the catchment during the weekend.

Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
Moderate flood levels are rising at Birdsville.

The Diamantina River at Birdsville (Police Station) is currently at 6.60 metres
(above the moderate flood level of 6.0 m) and rising. The Diamantina River at
Birdsville will remain above the moderate flood level during the weekend and
early next week.

Flood Safety Advice:
Remember: If it's flooded, forget it. For flood emergency assistance contact
