Major Flood Warning For Eyre Creek And Moderate Flood Warning For The Georgina River

Moderate flood levels are expected on Eyre Creek at Bedourie Thursday. Moderate to major flood levels are possible at Glengyle over the weekend into next week.
Moderate flooding is continuing to ease on the Georgina River at Marion Downs.
No significant rainfall is forecast over the next few days, further significant rainfall is possible early next week.

Georgina River to Marion Downs:
Minor to Moderate flood levels continue to ease on the Georgina River upstream of Marion Downs.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs peaked at 5.65 metres around 09:00 am Monday 10 February and flooding is continuing to ease.
The river level at Marion Downs is expected to remain above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) over the weekend.

Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs:
Floodwaters from the Georgina River will continue to flow into Eyre Creek over the weekend and into next week.
Eyre Creek:
Creek level rises continue along Eyre Creek as floodwaters arrive from the Georgina River.
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie at 9am Thursday was 3.98 metres (minor flood).
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie is expected to exceed the moderate flood level (4.00 m) Thursday afternoon. The river level may exceed the level of the bridge at Bedourie (4.4 m) over the weekend.

The Eyre Creek at Glengyle at 9am Monday was 2.40 metres and rising.
The the creek level at Glengyle is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (3.00 m) over the next few days. Moderate to major creek levels are possible early next week.
