This Flood Watch provides early advice of possible flooding within the specified catchments.

Flood Watch For Southern Inland Catchments Between Thargomindah And St George
Issued at 01:21 PM EST on Saturday 22 February 2020
Flood Watch Number: 3
Further flooding is possible across the Flood Watch area from late Saturday.

Widespread rain, showers and thunderstorms are forecast for the Flood Watch area during Saturday and Sunday. Locally heavy falls are possible.
Catchments within the Flood Watch area have received rainfall over the past 2 to 4 weeks so rivers will be more likely to respond to further heavy rainfall.
River level rises above the minor flood level are likely from Saturday.
Localised flooding and travel disruption is expected.
Major flooding continues in the Balonne River from previous rainfall. Additional rainfall across this area may see further flood peaks travel through the Balonne River system.

Catchments likely to be affected include:
Dawson and Don Rivers
Balonne River
Wallam and Mungallala Creeks
Warrego River (QLD)
Paroo River (QLD)
Bulloo River (QLD)
Barcoo River
